The relevant online survey was conducted by the Public Initiative “For Fair and Transparent Customs” from March 30 to April 13, 2021.
Its results were striking in that its participants were almost equally divided in opposing views on the need to improve existing legislation in the context of business associations.
Both sides have made interesting and solid arguments in defense of their position, which are sometimes mutually exclusive.
Given the important role of business associations as part of civil society in ensuring dialogue between government and society, the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting in the framework of the public initiative “For Fair and Transparent Customs” will soon initiate a public roundtable discussion on that all stakeholders will be informed.
