Based on the online survey results
The survey was conducted by the project “Support of the Public Initiative “For Fair and Transparent Customs” (hereinafter the Initiative). It is the 21st survey in a series of online surveys regularly conducted by the Initiative.
Description
On August 30, 2022, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted laws by which it joined the Convention on the Common Transit Procedure (NCTS) and the Convention on the Simplification of Formalities in Trade in Goods.
On September 5, 2022, during the meeting of the Ukraine-EU Association Council, the European side confirmed the decision on the possibility of Ukraine joining the specified international conventions from October 1 of this year.
From October 1 of this year, Ukraine began the international application of the Conventions mentioned.
Aim
To study the awareness of Ukrainian enterprises regarding the international application of the Common Transit Procedure (NCTS) in Ukraine and readiness for its application.
Methodology
Qualitative and quantitative approaches were used for data collection. An online survey was conducted among enterprises (including individual entrepreneurs) that export and/or import.
Field stage: from September 29 to October 11, 2022. The total number of participants: 23.
23 respondents from 10 regions of Ukraine (Volyn, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Mykolayiv, Rivne, Khmelnytskyy, Cherkasy, Chernihiv) and Kyiv city took part in the online survey.
